Intro to Product Owner
The introduction gives you an overview of this course.
Module 1 : The Role of the Product Owner
This module will help you to get a general understanding of the Product Owner role and how it differs from other roles within organizations e.g. Product Manager, Project Manager, and Stakeholder.
Module 2 : The Context of Agile
We will explore what Agile means, what problem the frameworks incl. Scrum set out to solve, and how that translates to your work as a Product Owner.
Module 3 : The Scrum Framework
We will give you an overview of the Scrum Framework and how it connects to our previous definition of Agile.
Module 4: Events in Scrum
This is a deep-dive into the Events in Scrum and helps you understand what your role as a Product Owner is in those events.
Module 5: The Scrum Team
This module teaches you all you need to know about the Scrum Team i.e. the Developers, the Scrum Master, and you the Product Owner. It also covers a bunch of challenges e.g. one person having multiple roles.
Module 6: Design Thinking
This module introduces you to Design Thinking as a complimentary tool to Scrum. You will understand what the five steps are and learn based on real case studies how we applied Design Thinking to build better products.
Module 7: Understanding Customers
This module provides you with concrete tools and techniques that help you systematically build a better understanding of your customers. You will learn about the Empathy Map Canvas, the Value Proposition Canvas, Personas, and other tools.
Module 8: The Product Goal
In this module you will learn about the importance of the Product Goal, its key characteristics, and how you can systematically create a great Product Goal.
Module 9: The Business Model
This module is all about creating a compelling business model. Most Product Owners never get to work on this, because they don’t know how… we set out to change this.
Module 10: Creating the Product Backlog
This module teaches you how to create a Product Backlog from scratch. You will learn about User Stories, User Story Mapping, and a bunch of other tools and techniques that make the creation of a Product Backlog much easier.
Module 11: Working on the Product Backlog
This module covers maybe the most important piece of the day-to-day job of Product Owners: continuous working on the Product Backlog. You will learn what characteristics a great Product Backlog has and how you can get there.
Module 12: Product Roadmap
This module teaches you about an agile approach to creating a Product Roadmap.
Module 13: Progress Tracking
This module shows you how you can take progress and make projections in an agile project or product development initiative.
